Hi, shouldn

Hi Uwe,Thanks for the fast response. Getting ready for your 5 step procedure. What is the significance of step "0."---What is "our" panel and why extract it to c:temp1? I don't see temp1 used. And by "extract" do you mean unzip? Thanks again,Robert Tiffany

Hi Uwe (again),I now see where temp1 is used and that extract means unzipped, but I still don't know what "our" panel is in step 0 so that I can complete step 5.Thanks again,Robert Tiffany(P.S. Right now I'am flying the "purple" aircraft with the C177 panel in it, that is, I have done steps 1 thru 4)

Uwe, it looks like your reply was written in haste.. I'm sure you meant Panel to Panel, and Gauges to Gauges.. right?I start with the RealAir C172, copy the FSD panel bitmaps over, as well as the required C177 bitmaps and copy your Yoke and Panel.cfg over..After that, my eyepoint is way off, so I have to hit Shift-enter a few times, which is no big issue, but I have to do this every time I return to the front view..Edited: By trial and error I have fixed this by editing the panel.cfgfile toVIEW_FORWARD_DIR=16.0, 0.0, 0.0 //was 6.0

Hi Uwe (me again),Getting closer...I think "our" panel is the "df172mod.zip" and I have completed step 5 based on that premise. Your new yokes are there (I think) and the gauges are there and appear to work but all other background (the panel?) is black and there is no exterior cockpit view. I can move the gauges up and down (as a whole). The vc mode looks ok and the spot and external views are ok. Any suggestions. Thanks again,Robert Tiffany

Hi, you are right of course, I copied and pasted the file names and mixed them up. We have new toggle gauges that will take care of the angle of view of the main panel without affecting the landing view (like your solution does), but it

Hi, you won

Hi Uwe, I think I have everything working ok after I un-cross-pollenated the gauges and panels files. The only "stranger" that I see (besides your known issues list) is that the side views look like the C-177 (ok in the vc view) but I think you have that covered in your up-coming V1.1.Is there a way to install the default 172 radio stack and is there a way to place the tach in place of the second vor indicator (so one can have rpms when in the landing mode-which I use most of the time anyway)? (Also, getting greedy - how can one get rid of the purple and chartruse (sp?) colors realizing that these are someone's important colors. This will be my default aircraft displacing the new Meridian until I get more proficient in flying, ATC'ing, and nagivating!!! The ultimate would be brand new 2003 C-172SP in company colors and the quality of the SF.260 and/or the Meridian. Thanks for a wonderful version of the Cessna C-172!!!!!Robert TiffanyALTAIR ALT287

Trip,I have installed the FSD-C172 file in my "aircraft" folder. The aircraft does not appear.Do I need any other files to run it?Rodger.

Hi, I

In your aircraft folder, open up the "aircraft.cfg" file with notepad and look for the lines:ui_manufacturer=ui_type=ui_variation=This will tell you where the airplane shows up in the pull down menuwhen you select a new airplane in FS2002.You can change these values if you prefer to have it show up under a different category
