January 13, 200917 yr I've been learning how to program various aspects of the PMDG 737-700 FMC and have run into something I do not understand and don't know how to program. When flying, I usually use published IFR routes from flightaware.com and recently I tried using one that goes from Chicago Medway to Columbus, Ohio. The published flight plan I wanted to use is as follows:LEWKE GIJ GIJ092036 FWA GUNNE1I can program the LEWKE, GIJ, FWA, and GUNNE1 portions but I am confused about the GIJ092036 portion. Can someone explain and maybe even take a screen capture of how this is done?If this question has already been answered, forgive me as I am a new member to this forum. Thanks so much and happy simming!Tekkie
January 13, 200917 yr This is a custom waypoint... radial 092 of GIJ VOR for 36nm if I remember correctly... you can enter custom waypoints into the FMS...Long time since I used the NG... too busy with the MD11 these days :DSorry I cannot give you more distinct instructions, but I vaguely remember the manuals having information on custom waypoints...AndrewEDIT: Thanks Dan for using the correct terminology... :DI knew one of those in the know would do a better job than I... January 13, 200917 yr GIJ092036 is a distance/bearing fix. GIJ 092 radial 036 DME. The manual provides information on how to enter a fix like this.
