Im trying to get one between $600-800. Would it be better for me to get a PC?

Absolutely you should get a PC if your primary purpose is for playing FSX.For not much more money (about $900), I built a quad-core 2.8Ghz Intel Pentium with 2Gb RAM, and an nVidia GeForce 9500 (Running Windows XP SP3). It runs FSX very well (although not with all sliders to the right).Much cheaper to build it yourself (or have a tech-savvy friend do it).

I will let you have my e660 c2d clocked at 3.2, the Asus p5b m/b, 2 gig OCZ Platinum, 535 watt p/s, nVidia 8900GTX in its case, per my sig below - for $500 + whatever shipping might be. It is my current FSX system. You will need monitor, drive/s and kb; I can include a wheel mouse, too, and I still have all the original boxes. If you`re interested just pm me. Yes FSX is smooth... :(

What are some good video cards i can buy and do they matter that much in FSX or does the CPU speed matter more for it to run smoothly?

8900 GTX???!!!

Most people say that an 8800/9800 GT is enough, but the 9800 GTX+ performs VERY well in FSX.And yes, CPU Speed and other CPU specs matter more :). Higher the clock speed, the better. Take the Intel i7 920. A modest 2.66 GHz processor, yet it gives the older Core 2 Extreme a run for the money. And it has SUPERB overclocking capabilities. And it starts at just ~$285 USD.
