servicing the Hydraulic system

Featured Replies

Can you add fluid to the hydraulic system on the MD-11? I noticed different levels on all 3 systems.Michael Pare.

It's done by the mechanics, leave them a squawk and they will take care of it.

Michael,it is normal to have different quantity levels on the HYD systems, they don't need to be perfectly identical. Also you might have noticed the changing QTY levels in system 3 when retracting/extending the landing gear.Markus

It seems the system balanced itself out, I forgot it does that.Michael P.

Does the MD-11 simulate Hydraulic and Oil fluid loss over time?I remember a Kingair addon that slowly degraded (engines/tyres) due to wear over a lengthy period of time. Good idea I thought. Would be cool to see an addon that if you neglect, say the engine oil, the engine would eventually fail.

Ryan, I doubt it. In general, only tasks performed by the cockpit crew is simulated although they have added such cabin crew essentials as open/close/arm doors cause people like to have those visible features. Too bad the airport software doesn't include the line trucks with maintenance crews.
