February 17, 200917 yr hii would like to know in whtat conditiosn the TOGA worki hear somewhere than when you are on approach and you select flaps 5 the toga gets activewhat speed requeriments are needed?is always necesary to have FD on?thanks a lotmiguel
February 17, 200917 yr I've been flying it for years and never wondered about this.I supose if I were at Flaps 5 and I wanted to go-around it wouldn't really be a go-around since I wouldn't be on final approach yet. It would be vectors for another approach and I wouldn't want to alarm the pax with max go-around power. Is it really a go around if you are outside the FAF (final approach fix)? Dan Downs KCRP
February 17, 200917 yr hmm..I took it as him asking "When does TOGA become the active thrust setting?"Im probably wrong though..:) Rob Taylor
February 17, 200917 yr Taken from PMDG-747 Wiki-OPS, I presume it's the same in the 737,"The Go-around is armed and the reference thrust changes to GA when the flaps are out of UP or the Glideslope (GS) is captured." signed: José Luis
