PC aviator has a good sale on it right now, I was just wondering how good it was. I like to fly carrier opts sometimes and I would like to get some military planes that are good. How are they , do they fly well, how is VC, ect, ect. Thanks for your input.

I had a 5 min. flight with FD5 from Abacus. I did not like it. The planes looks like from FS2004, the phisics of them are wack.

Flight Deck 5 has a couple of my favorite types of aircraft, however the package as a whole is sub-standard. The cockpits are below average and the planes are not SP2 compatible.

Ive had the package since it came first came out. The aircraft and panels are not the best but they are an improvement over previous Flight decks. I believe there is a patch for FD5 because I have been using it with Acceleration with no problems. The cable landing system and the S3 viking are worth $17 bucks easy. my opinion.

Well, since the S-3 Viking is one of my favorite planes, I once again spent an half hour searching for patches. I came up zero. On my computer (i7, gtx 280), with FSX and acceleration, Flight Deck 5 has corrupt graphics, panels, cockpits. Read the reviews about the product at Amazon for more information and opinion.

Because of awamech, I installed the package in FS9 and ported one plane (but not the total package) into FSX again, the C-2A Greyhound. Seems to work fine without corruption, and I've done 4-5 trap attempts off of Hawaii onto an FSX/Accel carrier. Not the greatest cockpit, but now I can do traps with one of my favorite planes doing what I enjoy the most, carrier COD traps. Thanks again to awamech for the prompt.
