Lionheart Kodiak

Two issues for me--having difficulty getting it started using the startup procedures. What am I doing wrong? Second, the propeller disc seem to be offset too far to the left from the VC view. Anyone else seeing this?Otherwise, this is a great plane!

Anyone else have this plane?

Hi Randall,i have this plane and absolutely love it. I have no problem with the startup procedure. Did you put the red condition lever halfways up? If you don't the engine won't start.Concerning the propeller view I don't see anything wrong with this viewangle. (see picture)Hope this is of help for you.Rodger

I don't know exactly what the startup problem might be. The way I start it is: Condition Lever half way; Master On; AVN Bus On; Ignition On; Starter Hi.Works everytime for me.The prop view seems ok to me. Might just be the parallax view from the left seat.Jim

Thanks for the responses. I'll double check my startup procedure against your suggestions. Its not the stationary propeller that seems off but the propeller disc when its rotating--maybe just an illusion.

Still no go. Have emailed developer and received suggestions but nothing working yet--hoping a solution is forthcoming.

I had a similar issue with Lionheart's Epic LT. Try 2 things:1) Load into FSX the default flight (it's either the ultralight or the C 172) and shut down everything...all electronics, fuel, etc...you want a cold and dark condition. Then save this as your default flight...the one that's there when you start FSX. Restart FSX, launch that flight, and in the sim, change the aircraft to the Kodiak. You should be able to start it as per the manual.2) Look for the file cdx.zip in either the AVSIM or Flightsim libraries...it's a replacement for the for FSX's default situation file. The file puts you onto the apron of the airfield (in the default 172), everything is switched off and your tanks are empty. This file is used as a template for any other flight being created by the "free flight" option. Load this first into FSX, then select your Kodiak (with some fuel of course), and you should find it possible to start as per SOPs. Just make sure mixture is on full rich and that any fuel cutoff is disabled. Good luck!

The VC prop is to far to the left, that is with the 2.2 update.

Tried the first suggestion but no change--engine will spool up but does not turn over. AVSIM library is down so couldn't get the file you suggested--will try it when I can. Thanks.

Randall, that file cdx.zip is also available at Flightsim.com
