IFDG or Project Airbus Flight Dynamics?

Featured Replies

I am a big fan of the IFDG single aisle Airbus range and absolutely all my "Little Airbuses" used to be IFDG. But I have recently discovered the Project Airbus range of single aisle aircraft and the first thing that caught my attention is the stunning visual model that they have designed. But I find their aircraft to fly incredibly differant from IFDG's models and frankly it just doesnt feel right to me. Since I am not an Airbus expert or havent actually flown one myslef, I am in no posision to say which is the more realistic one. With the Project Airbus models I always find my self flying with very high thrust levels through out every part of my flight. Having flown on A319's & A320's as a passenger many times before it just doesnt seem right to me to decend at 2000fpm from say flight level 360 with a N1 setting of 65%. I would expect to desend at idle thrust. The same issue churns in my mind when flying final aproach with sometimes as much as 75% N1.So any opinion on which is the most realistic. Should it be IFDG then, what would be the best way to merge the flight dynamics of the IFDG model with the Project Airbus visual model whilst still having all the lights and contact points in there correct postion and having the flaps and flexing wings work perfectly?

I think that the comunity of FS'ers has grown alot, but developers are starting to drop out a bit, like Project Airbus.

Hello,OP question:

So any opinion on which is the most realistic. Should it be IFDG then, what would be the best way to merge the flight dynamics of the IFDG model with the Project Airbus visual model whilst still having all the lights and contact points in there correct postion and having the flaps and flexing wings work perfectly?

Agreed.Particularly quote one. Why do people actually take time to be so miserably pointlessly negative?PS although both ifdg and PA are defunct, there aircraft are still available for downloading.I am not really in a position to say which is the more realistic in its flight model, but at the moment I currently veer towards IFDG.I just like em.Could PA next week.cheers Andy
