I want to address this letter ... To all personnel and editorial staff at AVSIM!I have been doing flight simulation since 2003 and though lately, I have not been actively simming, I still have the "flame" inside of me burning for this wonderful hobby which, in many ways, has changed my life for the better! AVSIM has been an incredible organization! In fact, there are few words to descibe how dedicated the staff of AVSIM has been in providing us the flightsimulation enthusiasts, with second-to-none quality of files, forums and up-time of its website. The recent hacking of AVSIM was shocking to me. Since I do not logon very often to any simulation site due to my "cooling down" period that I seem to be experiencing with flightsimming recently, I was utterly saddened by this event and could not believe anyone could have done this to what amounts to a mostly non-profit and free website (though there is the store but all membership and downloads and free).I wanted to congratulate AVSIM on changing MY life, and many AVMSIM members would probably also agree - for changing the lives of many other flightsimmers in a very positive way that cannot possibly be measured by money, or profits, or by anything "tangible" at all! Your contributions to flightsimming are priceless and irreplaceable. You not only provide quality resources on your website, you also link to many other flightsimming-related websites, making OUR world, the world of the flightsimmer, that much bigger! ... And I thought our world is was ALREADY pretty big since we fly the skies of the entire planet! ... but without AVSIM, Earth and flightsimming just wouldn't be the same and certainly not as "big".Thank-you AVSIM ... with all my heart! Can AgbabaMontreal, Canada

been flight-simming since days of FS98, and I totally agree with Can Agbaba Montreal, Canada, carry on the good work

Welcome Back AVSIM ! Truly appropos that aviation-related classic James Stewart film,The Flight of The Phoenix, you have resurrected yourselves.I'm sure I speak for a wide FlightSim community all round the world if I state that flight simming without Avsim has been like being in a state of limbo,a famine of flight simulation.I just put my hobby on hold and had you not been resurrected,I would have given up and sold every piece of software related to Flight Sim.Good to have you guys back, and a hearty applause to all those who made this happen.Fingers crossed that it never ever happens again.Reynaldo

I too offer my congratulations on the quick return and my thanks for all that Avsim has provided to the community. Here's to many more years of Avsim and flight simulations!KP

:( I have followed AVSIM since the early 2000's and it was very empty when they suddenly disappeared. I wish AVSIM welcome back to normal days again.Stefan
