Anyone want to test some new scenery for FSX?

Looks really good. I'm excited about your project as I live in upstate NY and do most of my sim flying there. I've also updated many NY and northeast US airports so it would make for some nice flying.Keep up the good work!Jim

Looks really nice, Larry. Thanks for letting me test your scenery. Jim, I have most of your work, too - It's great to have my home state redesigned to be more realistic. Thanks to you both.Lou

This definatley got my interest as I am from upstate NY as well. :)

I would like to add my thanks for this great improvement to the land classes in Upstate New York. Those improvements coupled with Jim's airport work have dramatically improved an area of small towns, rural, and wilderness. For us "locals", it is quite noticeable.Kingfish

Since the AVSIM file library is non-functional, where is the best place to get all your airports?Larry

Most have been migrated to Flightsim.com. Searching on my name "Jim Cook" is probably the best way to find them. A few early uploads were just "afcads" for Albany, Syracuse, and Rochester. But the rest have buildings and other scenery elements added or changed. Among them are Fulton County, Saratoga County, Schenectady County, Glens Falls, Plattsburgh, Saranac Lake, Massena, Watertown, Binghamton, Elmira, Oneonta, Sidney, Westchester County, Fort Drum, a couple of Long Island airports, and probably some I've forgotten. Also surrounding airports like Burlington, VT, Pittsfield, MA, and Laconia, Concord, Lebanon, and Rochester, NH. Oh, and several in PA as well.Jim

Hello All,Just want to thank Larry for all his efforts to produce "Low 'n Slow NY State". It is a terrific landclass package for NY State that brings so many of the areas throughout the region much closer to life. NY State is one of my favorite places to fly in and this landclass makes it all the more enjoyable. If you like to fly this part of the world, definitely download this package and give it a try - it is significantly more detailed and accurate than several of the popular payware landclass files out there. I echo the sentiment expressed by another poster just how important regional (or state-specific) landclass is for true realism and authenticity of terrain mapping. The "one size fits all" approach from the country/continent-wide landclass packages just can't achieve this level of granularity and precision like the smaller, hand-crafted products such as LS NY State.I'm most thankful for this work being produced - it will make a lot of virtual aviators very happy indeed! Also, as an aside, I can't commend Larry enough for making this landclass package "charityware". He requests that if you like the product, that you can give a donation of any amount to help impoverished children. What a terrific way to give something back to the community and to show how appreciative we are for the many blessings and gifts we have. I just sent in my donation and encourage all others who enjoy this package to do the same - a great program and cause to support for sure!Happy Flying! :(

I to downloaded Larry's Low and Slow landclass. Coupled with JimC's improved airports for the area, it's an area I spend about 3/4 of my time in FSX. Of course I may be a little biased, because I live just across the border in PA. I enjoy it so much, I joined FSE and have a FBO on Seneca Lake at Finger Lakes Regional (0G7). I operate a pax and cargo business there and just went over 100K. Well on my way to getting my own work horses (C206 and maybe a C208). So again, thanks Larry and Jim.
