Adding beacons and intersections to default MS scenery

Featured Replies

Not sure where to post this, but I'll ask here first. What I would like to do is add in some VORs and airway intersections into the default FS9 scenery. How do I go about this? Do I need some kind of BGL compiler, or is there a simple text file I can add things into?thanks

You definitely need a BGL compiler. Most will not do approaches and waypoints; you would have to code the XML by hand. ADE does do approaches and waypoints, but is currently only for FSX. If you want it for FS9 you will have to wait...

There is a program called EasyNavs which will pull all the default VOR and NDB out of one or more NV9 files. It was a GUI for adding new navaids, then it will export it as an xml file that is ready to compile with bglcomp (fs9 or fsx). I don't know anything like this for the waypoint AT9 files. You would have to do it by hand in xml. In the past I have used Super Flight Planner 3 which has the ability to extract and output waypoints in excel file csv format. scott s..

I use "AFCAD" to insert all my add-on Nav Aids...VOR's, NDB's, etc, into FS 2004....>>>>http://www.fsfield.com/viewfile/1404.htmlAfter running the FS Navigator Data Base, they then all show up, (in colour), in the FS Navigator GPS Map, including their Radio Frequencies... :( ...!...together with my trusty Bendix-King Radio Stack...I never get lost!...... :( .....!Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Navigator...and lots of extra Radio Beacons!.. :( ....!
