Missing airport ground textures

Featured Replies

Hello,i have the following problem. On most of my airports (standard scenery) i am missing some ground textures. Here is an example. test.jpg Here in Hong Kong (VHHH) i am only using GE2006 and a mesh from FS Genesis. Is it possible that i deleted some textures? Does anybody know this error? I don't know since when the textures are missing because i normally fly on addon-airports. Thanks for your help,Christian

I have had this happen to me a few times. One time it was because of multiple or improper afcad2 files for those airports, so I'd first check with that. Then One time it was because of scenery priorities, so try to disable or move around some scenery to see if it helps.

Try moving your FS9/Addon Scenery/Scenery folder up to the highest spot in your scenery library. That's assuming that you place all of your AF2 files in that one folder. If you have them in that folder, and that folder sits on top of all the others in your scenery directory, then that should fix your problems.

Thanks for your responses. The problem is solved. My apron textures were somehow broken. I don't know which addon was responsible for that but after i replaced the textures with some files found on flightsim.com everything is fine an my airplanes are taxiing on asphalt again.

Did you install PMDG's MD11?

Yes i did? Do you assume a relation to the problem?

The weirdest things may happen in the Fs world.........Some time ago, I planned a flight from LEMD.I placed there my a/c, launched the sim and........ I was stunned when I realized the airport was sitting on an elevated terrain platform at the right elevation MSL, while all of the surrounding terrain had been flattened to zero within a 3-4 miles radius.Panic.After some days of research, I found an hint ........somewhere someone was reporting the issue was caused by a mesh terrain add-on located.......in Sardinia (Italy) :( Couldn't believe that but I tried...... and once that mesh was disabled I went to LEMD again and.........everything was back to normal......

I guess very strongly now that it happened after you installed an update of MD-11.PMDG has a known protection which deletes some files in FS9, if it detects a pirated version of the software. Not accusing you of anything, but you understand how this looks like.I would suggest either contacting PMDG to clarify the problem, or simply accepting what happened :(

The problem was there before i installed my legally purchased MD-11 so this doesn't seem to be the answer to that problem.

That for sure then doesn't help you.I would otherwise guess its some addon which installed new textures, or uninstalled...Other than that, I have no explanation. In my experience, nothing on computer happens without user interaction.

I don't know...I sometimes feel FS has a mind of its own...and it judges me! :( :(
