The Aircreation 582SL ultralight no longer shows up in the select aircraft listing and if I load a flight using this aircraft I get an error message stating "aircraft initialization failure". The aircraft folder is present in the Sim Objects Airplane folder and it appears to contain the proper files such as model, panel, airfile and aircraft config. This problem ocurred after I used AI Flight Planner to generate some local traffic using the ultralight. I have used AIFP previously using dedicated AI aircraft with no issues. In this case the ultralight traffic failed to appear along with the aircraft initialization issue. Thanks in advance for any assistance with this issue.

You may find the easiest solution is to DELETE FSX and then RELOAD it...........normael

You should be able to insert the DVD and select "Repair FSX"

Too late! Obviously a full reinstall was totally out of the question, tons of addons, minor problem. I did attempt the repair which resulted in "Fatal Error." I then deinstalled Accelleration and restarted FSX which then loaded OK. After reinstallin Accelleration, I appear to be back in business with the trike now working OK. I did examine the aircraft cfg file which looked OK, wish I had kept a copy prior to the repair. Any idea why using this aircraft for AI would cause this issue in the first place? Thanks for all responses to my questions.

Hi Folksdbrucem -Its nothing to do with using it as AI. :( However,if you added another title='trike paint'either manually, or through a utility, (does AIFPC support this ?),the aircraft.cfg might not have been correctly written.Maybe ask at the AIFPC support forum.HTHATBPaul
