June 22, 200916 yr This sounds crazy even to me but....for Father's Day I received FSX Deluxe with acceleration pack. I understand that the acceleration includes SP2. I'm running Vista 64....where can I look to see, just for my own amusement, that SP2 is indeed installed?

Acceleration will not install without installing its version of SP2.

If you are able to load FSX after installing Acceleration and able to load a mission specific to Acceleration such as the carrier missions you can be sure that it is installed! June 22, 200916 yr Commercial Member It also adds the word "Acceleration" to the main FS menu window, at the top. June 23, 200916 yr Jim - It really is a leap of Faith. You must trust yourself and BELIEVE it is installed.
June 23, 200916 yr Thanks guys.....everything installed OK and FSX is running great with sliders roughly 3/4 to the right. I'll upgrade the video card somewhere down the line.
June 23, 200916 yr Sometimes after a reinstall I forget whether I installed SP2 already. In that case, I check if the DX10 Preview check box is available, since it was added by SP2.You can also right-click your FSX.exe file, choose properties, Information. The Product version line should tell you it's SP2 (in my case it reads "fsx-sp2.20071210-2023"). -
