But I have 2 questions:Is it possible to load the MD-11 completely turned off, where you have to get it powered up manually, if so how do I do it.Also I can't figure out how to get rid of the amber "CONFIG" from the engine display screen & i'm assuming while on take off a voice comes on and keeps repeating "Spoiler" maybe related to the "CONFIG" staying on?Thank you for any input.

Yes it is possible. You load the "Cold and Dark" panel state from the Add-Ons|PMDG|Load Panel State... menu.

Before takeoff, you need to arm the spoilers. You can do this by right clicking on the spoiler lever...it will "Click" and move upwards indicating that the spoilers are locked. Furthermore, you'll get a green "safety" bar illuminated on the bottom of the display, showing the all is green/go/good for takeoff.Have you flown the tutorial flight yet? It goes thru all the steps, including arming the spoiler before takeoff.

The digital flight data recoder will cause a configuration level 0 advisory until brakes are released and it starts recording. By all means, do fly the tutorial and expect to take weeks to learn this wonder simulation.

Hi Go to FMC -(TO)flaps 22go to throttle panel ,and set 22 arm spoilers on the left of the panel is configuring buttonCheck (on the FMC) value of spoilers set on you keyboard Home or End set the value from FMC and set ,numbers , scale must be greenI hope that you pick it up from the not professional text above, I had same problem because I wanted to fly
