I've tried flying into SDF twice today, and both times I had to switch my approach in the FMC from ILS 35L to ILS 17R, and both times Flight Sim locked up. This has never happened before. Hi, did you get an error message with the PMDG MD-11 Gauge File? Make sure the FMC is in descend mode before you change the rwy. I have that problem with the reproduceable CTDs and the PMDG MD-11 Gauge every time I select an DCT to an ILS Waypoint and the FMC is not in DESC mode. Jan-Paul

I include SDF in my US collection, although I doubt that it is a navigraph problem give my procedures a try. The are available over at flightsim.com library with file name pmdg0906.zip while avsim is offline.

I never displayed an error message, it just froze.Dan I'll download yours and see if it works.

I think we may be onto something here. After installing 0609 last week my MD11 FSX freeze issue has improved significantly....as in no freezes thus far. I hope updating works well for others.

I'm quite sure it was my AIRAC data, as I've gone through a list of possible problems.System Overheat (our A/C is broken): Impossible. I did the flight with my PC having a 3 hour complete shut-off cool down. Case was room temp, if not slightly cooler. I had also completed a 8 hour flight in the MD-11 to EDDF from KJFK the day before, with no problem.Graphics Overload: On the first flight, maybe. But I installed a new nVidia GE FX5500 card afterward and greatly improved my performance.Flight Sim issue: Again not likely. I've done many more flight since then, and it ran fine.I'm thinking because I was twittering around with programs during my install of the cycle (I ignore the "Close all other applications" warning), it corrupted part of my install. It's happened before (with KCMH and KPHX). I installed Dan's cycle and ran through the steps to recreate my flight 3 times, and each time has proved successful, with no freezing, not even a slight pause in loading the data in the FMS. Hope that's the end of it for now. Thanks for the help.
