July 6, 200916 yr Where are your headphones plugged into? It is possible to separate voice but you need to have two separate sound devices to do so. For example two soundcards or a soundcard and a USB headset. Please elaborate and we will continue this discussion later.

July 6, 200916 yr my speakers are plugged into the panel in the back and my headphones are plugged into the panel in the front, they are not usb headphonesYou must have two separate sound devices to do what you want. The easist way to accomplish this would be to obtain an usb sound card and plug your headphones into it. An example would be: http://www.usbgear.com/computer_cable_deta...121%2C136%2C134The FSX sound configuration menu will allow you to assign voice to your headset device and other sounds to your PC sound device running your speakers. Hope this helps.
July 6, 200916 yr thanks im gonna make a short trip to best buy or future shop or whatever and pick one up :)
July 7, 200916 yr Buy a "USB" headset..Windows looks at this as a seperate sound device. I use the same ones that phone operators use. I think they are around 30-40 bucks up to 70 depending on what you want. I had the normal type usb headset, you know, stereo, headphone on each side, but found it muffled the other sounds being pumped out by the speakers because, duh.. both my ears were covered :( The phone type, one sided mono headphone is much better. I can still here FSX sounds from speakers, the wife telling me to stop playing around and take out the trash :( etc....Larry Larry Falcone No matter where you go............... ...................there you are............ July 7, 200916 yr I also have a Realtek soundchip (onboard) and can have independent sound channel on my headset. maybe it's possible for you too.If I remember correctly there's a setting to give an application unique control over the soundcard. That way, you can have independent sound output to speakers and headset.I am at work at the moment so cannot check now. I am using the latest driver (v2.27 I think).Allard Flightsim rig: CPU: AMD 5900x | Mobo: MSI X570 MEG Unify | RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo | GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3090 | Storage: M.2 (2 & 4 TB) | PSU: Corsair RM850x | Case: Fractal Define 7 XL Display: Acer Predator x34 3440x1440 | Speakers: Logitech Z906 Controllers: Fulcrum One Yoke | MFG Crosswind v2 pedals | Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant |Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant | Stream Deck XL & Plus | TrackIR 5 Tobii eye tracking

You can assign voice and audio from there. Then you should see it in FS.Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
July 7, 200916 yr You don't need to do anything with your sound, keep your soundcard as the default device. Install the headphones into usb slot making sure it installs correctly, drivers, etc. Set your default Windows to your Realtek, Creative or whatever main soundcard you may own. If there is an option to detect headphones automatically, disable it. Launch FSX, go into sound options, look for the two dropdowns, set FSX sounds to main soundcard, set voice to USB headphones... all is good :)Larry Larry Falcone No matter where you go............... ...................there you are............
