July 14, 200916 yr I just downloaded the DA Cheyenne v4 upgrade and found to my joy, thata number of my pet peeves have been addressed:- The plane starts up with the fuel levers on, rather than set to off- The NAV/GPS indicator works with my RXP GNS530 and the planecouples to either NAV or GPS steering as expected- Hand flying characteristics have been improved- and all round, it is really a joy to fly! This is on top of the superb RealAir Duke and very niceCarenado Seneca both coming out in the last 30 days or so..I used to go back to FS9 for my "Twin fix", but I think those days are over..Hint to Flight1: any FSX C421 on the horizon?ps. not to mention that the default Baron, with a Dreamfleet air file and RXPanalog gauges is quite a nice plane to fly as well :( Bert
July 14, 200916 yr Don't forget to include the Eaglesoft Twin Comanche on your list! It's another fine twin.Jim
July 14, 200916 yr Yep, I may think about getting the Cheyenne....My fav is the Duke, followed by the Seneca at the moment. Im also flying another twin, the Citation Mustang heheThough the FDE on the PA34 still seems a little sloppy imho | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

July 15, 200916 yr Author Hi Bert,Do you have the panel config (VC) for the FSX version with the GNS 530?Thanks,RobI can send you what I use, with the 530 in the place of the radar, but with the radar knobs still visible. If you have the 430, it may just fit instead of the Trimble.Either way, disable the Trimble in the cfg file (UseTrimble=0)Email me if you would like my panel file: bpieke at gmail dot com. July 15, 200916 yr I just downloaded the DA Cheyenne v4 upgrade and found to my joy, thata number of my pet peeves have been addressed:Please direct me to the link for the update. I would appreciate it.Stan
July 15, 200916 yr Author Please direct me to the link for the update. I would appreciate it.StanI got mine from Aerosoft. On the web site I can either select my order, or support (have to log in). There is a download link to V4. Bert
July 15, 200916 yr The 4.0 link is a ~210mb download from the FAQ/Update link on Aerosoft's web site (left side) if you purchased it from them, and the d/l wasn't particularly fast. To get it, log in to your account on Aerosoft's site, select the Cheyenne from the drop down, and the d/l link is third from bottom of the fix list (the last two links are for the paint kit and to switch between the fsx/fs9 version). I made a mistake initially and went to the FS9 version, which has its own page. I missed the download text link altogether. Make sure you download the correct package! You also need your serial number to install as it's a complete install and it looks like it will blitz any changes to the panel you have made, so save those somewhere first. The fixes work, and I was elated to see that the radar is now functional again with ActiveSky Advanced, that was a problem before for me (I may have missed an interim patch). When ASX came out, it crashed the Cheyenne radar gauge the moment ASX updated the weather. No longer the case for me. I was also able to map the autopilot settings via FSUIPC (registered), worked great, which will make the hardware cockpit crowd happy. One more thing, none of the gauges are code-signed in the package, so you will have to accept warnings of dire consequences (and make an exception) about 6 times the first time you select the aircraft. That is strange.I also found that the ground operation is a bit easier with the tweaks, especially the XL model. Good patch. Still a joy to handfly this thing.Etienne
