Looks ok to me for FS9. If you ever want to go FSX or beyond I would change to an X48/58 chipset motherboard, quad-core cpu, and DDR3 memory, however.I run an E8500 with an Arctic Cooling F7Pro and you should be able to clock into the 4.0 ghz range, but there is no need to do that with FS9...even at near-stock cpu speeds you'll be blowing through FS9.

That'd work well for FS9, and low-end acceptable in FSX, assuming you're going to run a 64-bit OS. If you're going to use XP or Vista 32, you'll want a video card with no more than 512MB of video RAM.I found that the point of diminishing returns with FS9 on my dual-core was around 3.5-3.6 GHz. The E8400 ought to be able to hit that with a decent aftermarket HSF without breaking a sweat.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

How would it run on a 32-bit XP OS if I swapped the Zotac GTX260 for a Zotac GTS250 512mb? What kind of difference would this make over the original spec posted?Andy S
