July 27, 200916 yr Well I finally (better late than never) took the plunge on my first payware airliner. After a lot of reading and some personal preference I decided on the PMDG 737-600/700. For the most part, I have not been disappointed...it is definitely a lot to absorb!! As I am in the process of familiarizing myself with the aircraft, I decided to try a couple 'shakedown' flights (sans FMC) justto see how some things function. During a dusk flight last evening, I turned on the panel lights and saw what appears to be missing night bitmaps....take a look:.....started a new flight, let everything re-load, and it was the same way...I have seen several night screenshots and none look like this. At night they all have the amber illumination...but It seems mine does not. Any advice? Thanks in advance Matthew
July 27, 200916 yr Author ...ooops forgot to mention that it is in FS9 I am encountering this issue....HTH
July 27, 200916 yr Mine does that too but only during dusk and dawn; it works fine at night. Also, if I click the panel lights switch it most of the switches on the overhead like it's changing to a different panel state.?????? Dan Schultz REX Latitude BETA Team Member https://rexlatitude.com
July 27, 200916 yr Author Hmmm....I will have to look into more night flying then.....Also Dan what do you mean by 'different panel state'? Do they change that much?
July 27, 200916 yr Hmmm....I will have to look into more night flying then.....Also Dan what do you mean by 'different panel state'? Do they change that much?It changes a good amount of the switches to include disconnecting the generators from the power bus. I think it has something to do with the 800 and 900 because it never did that when I only owned the 600-700 models. When I bought the upgrade and ran the update for the 600-700 panels it started along with the dusk and dawn textures weirdness posted by Matthew. I 'm out of town on business so I can't post a screen until the weekend. It's done it since the get go and I have reloaded fs9, windows, and upgraded my rig a few times since then. The plane still flies fine so I just time my flights for either day or night (no dusk or dawn) and stay away from the panel light switch on the overhead.P.S don't forget to sign your name; I would hate to see your post deleted. July 27, 200916 yr I've had this happen too. I usually just turn off panel lights switch on overhead panel and then turn them back on again. It usually "fixes" it. Matthew Bellette
July 27, 200916 yr I've had this happen too. I usually just turn off panel lights switch on overhead panel and then turn them back on again. It usually "fixes" it.This is an old problem and I believe if you do a search you will find a few posts on what exactly causes it. If memory serves it has something to do with a problem with FS9's dusk to dawn and dawn to dusk transitions. I am not at home so I can't check the read me, but I thought the VC patch that came out with the 800/900 fixed this. I haven't seen it in a long time.As mentioned, if your using default key assignments, toggling "L" and shift "L" fixes it. George Morris
July 27, 200916 yr Author Thanks for the reply, George. I had done a search, but soooo much stuff came up I wasn't sure I had the patience (sorry). Since I am using the default key assignments, I will try that and see what happens....

This should help constrain the results and give a good start on potential solutions. George Morris
July 28, 200916 yr Thanks George, that's a great suggestion. Dan Schultz REX Latitude BETA Team Member https://rexlatitude.com
