737 black screens problem

Featured Replies

Hi!I recently installed the PMDG 736/700/800/900 and i've got an problem with it.when i start a flight with either of the aircraft, and then i turn the BAT on+ APU all of the screens in the plane are staying black (including the FMC and all of the displays on the MCP)i tried to reinstall the planes few times but it had no effect...so what is the solution to this problem?best regards,MichaelP.S. sorry about the bad English, it is not my mother language :(

This is normally an indication of a problem validating the installation.During install, you had to enter your order info and it should had shown a box that said something along the lines that the validation was successful. Is that working for you?If you need help with this, you should contact pmdg support via email (be sure you get an automated response) and share your order info with them.

Why? You've been given a suggestion worth trying and you seem reluctant to try it. Seems a little suspicious to me.Iain Smith

FSUIPC.dll can also cause this. Search the forum and this has been talked about. you basically remove the .dll and the support files and then reinstall FSUIPC and it should work fine.I have found that when the DUs are still black that cycling through the views works as when you return to the cockpit view, the DUs are lit up. Also try an auto-start of the engines with Ctrl-E and then if that works, you may not have all the proper switches set to get power and the like to the boxes.Hope that helps.John

the auto-start didn't help...can you write what files should be removed?thanks!

From the PMDG site:http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/PMDG_...ll_737_aircraftBlank CRTs with overhead panel problems on all 737 aircraft This is caused by corruption of the FSUIPC files and can be corrected as follows:
  1. Go to the Flight Simulator 9/Modules folder and delete the FSUIPC.dll, FSUIPC.txt, FSUIPC.cfg and FSUIPC.key files.
  2. Go to Peter Dowsons website and download the latest version of FSUIPC.
  3. Place the FSUIPC.dll file in the Flight Simulator 9/Modules folder and fire up Fs9 and the problem should be solved.

Suspicious eh?Nothing wrong with asking for additional advice. That's one of the great things on this forum. If you and I don't know, then maybe someone else will know and will kindly help us. And the result is posted so that everyone benefits from it.Best regards,Bruno

Yes I was wrong, so my unreserved apologies to r_michael. Sorry I doubted that you are a legit PMDG customer. :( Iain Smith
