September 9, 200916 yr I have a problem with an unwanted small black 'window', it is situated at the bottom/centre of the main.bmp.Here's a picI have no idea from whence it came :( But I would like to get rid of it.Ken
September 9, 200916 yr Right mouse click and 'close'!That's the fastest solution to thinik of.If you need a definite one though, I'll try to find my merge configs somewhere and think.

If I right click I get the drop down list, but nothing happens, whichever option I use? On the other hand, if I try to drag it to a remote area (so it doesn't offend my eye!) then the black window replicates itself, makes matters even worse lolI tried the Demo version of Panel Editor, but there is not a feature which solve my problem.Ken
September 9, 200916 yr Then try all the 9 combinations of Shift+number. If it still doesn't work, open the panel windows section in the FS menu and try to find it there.I'll try to find my merge backup files tonight and by comparing I may suggest what window it is.
September 9, 200916 yr Ken,What did you use to place the default 777 standby gauges on the PSS panel? Looks to me like the black feature is a gauge with no bitmap. Try to select it, then right click and then select properties (using the panel editor). You may be able to delete it or move it up above the panel bitmap.Jim Harnes

But "Not guilty m'lud".Fact is a techno of the VA I belong to did a merge Posky/PSS B777 and updated the aircraft.cfg etc. Once that was implemented I added Rob Barendregt's Push Back gauge plus a couple of others. Somewhere among them I seem to have 'lost' an entry in the Panel.cfg. If push comes to shove, I may have to start from scratch. The black window is not harmful, just irritating. I tried to select it but the options on the drop down window were dead. I slso tried to drag it to a remote corner, all that happened was it replicated itself!! It was possible to delete those orphans though?Best regards,Ken
September 10, 200916 yr Another way might be to look at your panel.cfg and see what has placement coordinates closest to the standby altimeter. You could rem it out (// in front of the line) and see what happens.FTI, I did a custom PSS T7 panel to fit my 22" monitor. Works very well with the POSKY model.Jim Harnes

My number 1 Monitor is a 19" ViewSonic, resolution 1280 x 1024.Ken
September 10, 200916 yr I did have to "build" the panel .bmp to fit the 1680X1050 screen. It isn't perfect, but good enough to provide a satisfying experience. If PSS flies again plan to ask them to look at it. Could be shared with their approval.Jim Harnes
September 10, 200916 yr Just had a similar problem. Selecting the GPS produced a black screen, fortunately I backup the Gauges folder when anything new is installed (if I remember) having learned the hard way in the past, so copying a backup into the current folder resolved the problem. Yesterday everything worked fine, today the GPS went for no reason that I know of. Try reinstalling the Gauges from the install disc, may work !

I've spent a lot of time trawling through the Panel configs, but still cannot find a rogue gauge entry.Ken
