Just my opinion of course, but I think people should try the VC out for longer than 3 hours before condemning it. You have to first get used to it, and that doesn't happen in 3 hours.

That's a very fair point and I'm sure you're right. I think what I'll do is try using the VC for a while on one of my current FSX planes and see if I can get to like it. Thing is, I've got the same problem with beetroots. Can't stand them, but really wish I did, but I just can't stand the taste of beetroot, no matter how many times I try to like it ;-)I fully accept that I'm prehistoric, a Luddite and a man with no future in the world of FS. Thanks Mike. Wow - I'm wavering.

I just did the .cfg edits, programmed the views to hotkeys and now... I have a 2D panel! Actually better... a zoomable 2D panel. Please do the the view edits before you write this FINE aircraft off! I have F9 for the new captain view, F11 for the speed card view, and F12 for the overhead view. With those 3 keys I have all the panels I need. Using zoom or a tick of the hat switch I can see anything I need. I knew nothing about programming views to a hotkey before and I love it! I am a long-time VC hater. Those config edits changed my mind. Love this plane. PMDG is in a league of their own. Bravo!Eddie KABQ

i totally disagree with this point of view,it took me about 5 days just to get a hang of j41,cursed my self initially for having bought this aircraft,but after getting used to 3d cockpit,i just love this aircraft,and cannot wait for the 737 ng to be released,after flying a lousy atr from flight 1 ,the j41 is a treat to fly ,i think the hardest part is getting used to flying in 3 d cockpit,it is a bit annoying at times,but once one gets used to this ,i believe it is difficult to hate j41vivek
