This morning. I was flying from LOWI to EDDW. FS9 locked up. I rebooted the computer restarted everything. RC quit recognizing AP. I rebuilt flt plan. RC reads FP, just not AP's.Bill M

Go into your RC4\data folder. Open a4.csv with Notepad. It should have lines like this:00AL, , 34.8648 ,-86.77028 , 0 , 820 , 2300 00AZ, , 34.30558 ,-112.1646 ,-13 , 3809 , 1700 00C, , 37.20317 ,-107.8692 ,-11.8 , 6682 , 5013 00CA, , 35.35052 ,-116.8884 ,-14 , 3037 , 6000 00CL, , 38.63824 ,-121.5152 ,-16 , 22 , 2700 00CO, , 40.6222 ,-104.3444 ,-11 , 4829 , 3900 00FA, , 28.64554 ,-82.21897 , 4 , 53 , 3200 00FL, , 27.23087 ,-80.96923 , 3 , 35 , 4090 00GA, , 33.7675 ,-84.06834 , 3 , 700 , 2600 00IL, , 41.97836 ,-89.56039 ,-1 , 840 , 2500 00IS, , 40.02559 ,-89.12286 ,-1 , 820 , 1600 Check also your r4.csv. If so search these files to see if those airports exist. If they are absent go into your FS folder. With Notepad open runways.txt. It is large and may take a minute. It is a log of what the makerwys component called by the RC4 scenery rebuild. Search for your airport name(s) there. There may be more that one section so go through the default section if there and then look for another. Insure in the final summary of each section (look for ********) that runways were created. If there is trouble with airports missing in runways.txt either the FS scenery.cfg (scenery library index) or the scenery itself has problems. Your scenery library index can be checked with this utility:If you wish you can download this "Utility to sort and renumber scenery.cfg layers" to see if everything is OK with your scenery.cfg. Back up your scenery.cfg first. Follow its install instructions:http://home.earthlink.net/~smgreenwood/resources-g.shtmlIt is possible your scenery.cfg or airport scenery got messed up when FS crasked.Another option is to go into your FS folder and delete your r4 and r5 .csv files and go into RC4\data and delete r4.csv and a4.csv files. Create a safe backup folder for those RC4 data files and copy them there before deleting those RC4\data files. Now start and close FS so it rebuilds its scenery index if necessary. Now start RC and run from within it the scenery rebuild utility. You can now close RC and repeat the procedure to go to the RC4\data file and open a4.csv with Notepad and search for those airports. If you are on the VISTA windows system or XP 64-bit system make sure you have a shortcut to RC with the property set to Run as Administrator. You also should be an administrator here. Finally, make sure each time you run your scenery rebuild be sure your path to the FS9 folder is correct. This is a tedious procedure but we are checking for missing scenery and corrupt files.

The r4 and r5 files sizes were 0 bytes. Even after I rebuilt scenery database. Somehow they became corrupt after my last FS9 crash. Once I removed those files and rebuilt the data again, RC now reads my airports correctly. Thanks to muchBill M
