Wiking,I'm not sure how much experience you have with the Boeing FMC's but if you are new to them and want a really easy way to learn the 747's FMC along with other flight tips and planning, take a look at this video series on Youtube, there are 9 of them. They are for the PMDG 737 but are very well done and most of the stuff he covers are the same for the 747.

Yes, I know it! I saw this tutorial many times unfortunately without such FMS in my FSX. Now I can try programming it myself.
