>The dream I guess you think I'm speaking of is now reality and>you'll see what I'm talking about in another month... You're 'reality' is based on what betatesters have told you. Betatesters are not allowed to tell you anything about the product the're testing...They're not even allowed to tell you they are betatesters in the first place....Makes it all quite a feeble 'reality' don't you think ? The best advice i can give you is the one you've givin me, wait another month... Then we'll have another talk about reality. ;-)In another post you state : " I could see CaptainSim updateing their 727's VC to allow the second officer's panel to be interactive. For anyone who has that aircraft knows that the second officer's panel is a whole static bitmap (no live gauges are present), that's the kind of thing that will have to be updated with many aircraft which is not a big concern because we don't use them now. It's a very easy concept if you think about it.... "Well, the concept might not be as 'easy' as *you* seem to think about it..The CaptainSim 727 second officer's panel in the VC is just a bitmap allright. But not because it is impossible to add working gauges to it but because by doing so it would've made the VC impossible to fly in because of the exceptional low framerate.Every 'ghostpanel' which is added to a VC plus the gauges added to it will have it's price tag regarding the framerate. And believe me, they don't come cheap. I'm sure you can imagine what this would mean if the VC second officer's panel would've been filled up with working gauges. It's 'a dream' to assume that this will be any different with FS2004. That 'dream on' crack was not mend to offend you in any way, Dilloll0, it's great to dream about FS, i do it a lot myself, and a lot of it has indeed become 'reality', and no doubt will do so in the next FS version. But after our 'another month' of waiting is over i think that we'll have to come to the conclusion that some of the topics you talk about here do actually come from dreamland and will remain there for the time being. With every new FS version a lot of work had to be done by panel/gauge designers and/or visual model designers to make their stuff compatible and, like i said above, it's a 'dream' to assume that this time it will be any different.Ah, well, 'reality or no reality' it's all 'virtual reality' anyway, isn't it.. :(javis

I will simply try to install my GZR_Sceneries. This being a GA Sim most of my work will go without notice. Not a problem. Hope -- I can once again build scenery for WWII Euro bases. Just a hope. If they appear in Fs2004 then I will rebuild them to standard to the best of my ability.Frenchy -- out

Me? Easy.> Beer> Coffee> 2+ packs of cigarettes> wife and kids at mother-in-law> phone off the hook> Power bill fully paid> "Beware of Dog" sign on the front door> Frozen pizzaGood to go!Allblack:-xxrotflmaoTHAT was AWESOME!!

Seems I am lucky, as a single Dad I have no missus or in-laws. Only my son still lives with me which means my must have will be a few new PS2 games and a standing order for pizzas to be delivered every twelve hours to keep him quiet and out of the way. I already have the bolt fitted to the door and a nurse standing by to renew the caffeine drip so .....

So what your saying is you don't believe anything I'm telling you??? Your not taking into consideration that MS has previewed this sim at various events around the world already so beta testers aren't the only ones who've seen this sim. Developers and MS in so many words have confirmed that add-ons transfer over to the new sim with no problems at all giving the VC's a new interactive capability. Your not taking into consideration that you know nothing about me (I shouldn't have said where I've heard some of my information, I'll give you that)... If you do a search on a post here at Avsim or Flightsim.com (

I'm mostly excited about the Red Rider pump action air rifle, with a compass on the stock and a thing which tells time.As long as we're sharing our Christmas lists.(I know most people won't get the humor there. Apologies.)

Awesome.Not only a NZ'er, but from Wellington!Glad to meet you.Are you a Hurricanes supporter too????Allblack

> They told me that all VC's would automatically become>interactive in FS2k4 without any updates.Remarkable it's ' Dreamfleet ' that told you that... :(They probably ment to say that if a clickable gauge will work in an FS2K4 2Dpanel, it will work, i.e. be clickable, in the corresponding VC as well. But that'll be the only 'automatic' thing about it. Couldn't locate that particular message of yours,btw.. >I'll leave you to your prejudgments because>it kind of reminds me when man took his first flight while>many either disbelieved or said it wasn't possible. Look at>where we are today. I hear you and you are right. So let's first see FS2K4 take to the skies and then see what's up with all this 'automatic' stuff. If you ask me it'll be still pretty much the ol' gear box like it has always been. Remember 'a Century Of Flight' but not even 2 decades of FS... ;-) >There's an old saying:>"All you can do is lead a horse to water but I can't make him>drink....."Probabely not thursty then :+>Javis, we'll talk more about this in 45+ days, I have no more>to say to you right now...Fine with me, Dilloll0. Heb ik 't trouwens mis als ik denk dat jij dit kunt lezen ? Groeten,Javis

well guy's, let me try and take some of the butterflies in you're tummy away for you all.ANYTHING at ALL that workes in FS2002 will work properly in COF providing that the developer's or program makers followed the FS2002 SDK's,(and most did)things like FS Nav, PSS, Dreamfleet etc will be OK for all of us, and as to the comment's about not bothering with FS Nav and using the COF flight planner's etc, well I for one will still use FS Nav, even if it's just to export my FP to squawk bok, hope this helps,Steve.

Javis,Read through this post here at Avsim, "Maybe DreamFleet's 727 should wait for FS9...". Do a search under the FS Gerneral Discussion forum for, "DreamFleet 727". The post should come up. This should give you a better idea of what to expect from FS2004 since you don't believe me...
