Hi,Although I have download and installed the latest airac (0909) from Navigraph, the FMS data still shows the airac as 0709 ?. Does the FMS use the same Nav/data airac's as the (737,747.md11 ect)?.J41.jpgAlso I asume flight plans are saved in - Flight Simulator X\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS is this correct.RegardsWilliam

Yes, the same navdata and sidstars are used by the JS41 as other PMDG aircraft, and you have the correct location for '.rte' flightplans. I am not at my home workstation now and can't compare those numbers on the bottom of the screen but cycle 0709 doesn't make sense, maybe the number is something else.

William,The numbers at the bottom of the INITIALIZATION page are a part number and software change number. If you were flying with expired nav database in the real thing, you'd get a prompt to check the MSG page, and you'd see "NDB OUTDATED" there. I don't know if the PMDG JS41 has that implemented.

Hi Everyone,Could someone tell me why the flightplans from the Flight Simulator X\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS folder is not showing on the J41. After pressing the ON button on the FMS and selecting the FPL button, I only see about 8 flight plans and none of the flight plans I created using FS Commander. I moved the flightplans with the .rte extension to the Flight Simulator X\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS and still nothing shows. I have installed the SP1 for this fine aircraft.Any help will be great.

The initial list of flightplans will only include those that originate at the initialized location. Maybe there's a problem with the FS Commander files? All my saved flight plans will appear as expected in the JS41.

The number is static/dummy. It will never change.Regards.Ernie.

FSUIPC Version: 4.00 with latest updateFSC Version: 8.5OS: Windows 7 x64Thank you for the reply.I have been trying to find a solution to why non of my flightplans showup on the PMDG J41 FMS. I have followed the instructions and installed FSC as administrator, but non of the files are showing up.After searching for my files, I found them ( 15 files with the .rte extension) in C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Level-D Simulations\navdata\Flightplans and not in it right folder Flight Sim x/PMDG/Flightplans. Even after copying the files to the 15 files to the PMDG Flightplan folder, they still do not show up. But I see the default flight planes first available in J41 FMS. This was not the issue before J41 SP1. Any other thing I would be doing wrong?

Hi You should not have to move any files between folders to get the fsc generated flight plans to show up, you just have to ensure that FSC is set up correctly, also the files that you are moving are for the Level-D 763, which uses a different form of the .rte file, but to get the PMDG files make sure that FSC is set up correctly as so.Fist of all when you click on save as, you should make sure that the PMDGB7XX/ MD11 box has a check mark in it (1)Then to get them into the proper folders within FSX click on

Thank you so much Jim for taking the time to answer the question and provide graphics to explain the step.On Windows XP and I think Vista, the files go to the correct folders but the exception is Windows 7, where the Level D and PMDG Flight Plans are saved in C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS. I tried various options but it always copies it there. When I copy the RTE files for Level D and PMDG in its respectable locations, then the FMS reads them well. I just have to remember to copy or move the files once I create the flight plan using FSC. I am also going to post this in the FSC forum to find out if the software can be updated to save it to the correct location if Windows 7 is installed.Thank you once again.

Hi Well it was worth a try, such is the life under windows, I was thinking of changing over to Win 7, but as I
