Real or FS9

Featured Replies

HiyaCame across this video clip on youtube, Its a clip showing a 737 on final and landing, Its apparently recorded from FS9. But God Dang! it looks real!If its FS9 then whatever he's running wish I had it.So is it real or a fake?Just%20Kidding.gifhttp://tinyurl.com/ycvpuq3

My vote is no way that is FS9 alone. He's got some type of video movement software which can move an object across a background which is also moving. I wrote an entire animation system for Disney a number of years back and saw editing software that easily had that capability. That was 10 years ago. Look at the movie "Knowing" with Nicolas Cage. The Embraer looks like it is a repaint and straight out of FSX. It was no where near the quality of this video either. But just in case that is FS9 alone, someone get him to join this group and spill the beans please!Mark

Although it is hard to tell at first, you can see the ground textures flicker at 1:44. Then at the end of his roll out, the runway definitely looks like FS9. I agree with Mark, that is not FS9 alone. Very impressive video though.Scott CYKF

Yup, looks handheld. It's just more blurry and more hazy then we're used to. Minus the handheld shakiness, this doesn't look any better then my fs9...?
