October 11, 200916 yr I got GE installed alongside UT. I followed the 3 tutorials on the GE website, but I think I'm missing a step b/c when I load up a flight the textures look the same as the default fs2009 textures. I've searched around for something I could be missing but cannot fingure out what. Maybe I should have installed GE first? Currently the order of things in my Scenery Library is...UT-USAUT-Canada/Alaska..various other things.....My questions are as follows:1.) Am I supposed to point to the GE textures through the Scenery Library wizard within fs2009 like I had to for UT?? 2.) Do the textures only work for certain flights? 3.) What is the general way/procedure for using GE and FS2009?I know this has probably been answered before so feel free to flame away. (Maybe some links before the flaming :) ) Running GE Pro v.2.1.1 on XP btw. thx in advance.

October 11, 200916 yr You do not need to "activate" it like you do with scenery. It replaces the default textures. In the GE user interface go to the ground colour section and install it, same with the sky colour (I use GE Pro).... Al Stiff
October 11, 200916 yr @flyin, I'm on GEPro@altstiff I do that, GE then prompts me to start fs2009, after it starts I will usually just create a flight from somewhere, when the textures load it still has the 'smeared mud' look the default fs2009 textures have, so much so that I would almost swear it is the default fs2009 textures. It's like GE didn't even run, or I'm missing something?
October 11, 200916 yr Just so you understand, the GEPro textures aren't high resolution textures. Up close, they still look pixalated. Go to about 4000 feet and take a look. Also make sure UT installed the landclass. There is no special way to install UT and GEPro as they are for different things.Maybe uninstall GEPro, use default textures, go to 4000 feet, take a screen shot...repeat using GEPro. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |
