October 12, 200916 yr I don't know if I'm doing something wrong (I suspect that) or that's just a "feature" of default A321 in FSX.Since default aircrafts don't have autoland system (I probably wouldn't use it anyway, it's boring) you have to disengage the autopilot about 200ft from the ground and land the aircraft manualy when on ILS approach. The moment I do that (disengage the AP) the nose rapidly pitches down and even a slight pull back on the stick makes the plane pitch rapidly up - it's uncontrollable. I don't have any such problem with other aircraft - default B737, CRJ, ... Captain Sim 757,... thay all stay on glideslope.I didn't change anything in A321 folder (aircraft.cfg,... nothing).Does your A321 stay on glideslope when you disengage AP?EDIT: Is there any way to edit the topic? I mistyped A3231.. should be A321. Edited October 12, 200916 yr by 0Artur0 Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery
October 12, 200916 yr The default FSX A321 has issues with Auto Throttle and Pitching, i dont use it anymore, sometimes i even delete it all together, cause i got the far much better Wilco Airbus series.
October 12, 200916 yr Author So, that's what it is.. the default A321 is broken? Is anybody flying with default A321 on regular basis? Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery
October 12, 200916 yr You can merge the Default A321 virtual cockpit with the Project Airbus A318, A319 and A320. The merge works rather well. MSFS Premium Deluxe Edition; Windows 11 Pro, I9-9900k; Asus Maximus XI Hero; Asus TUF RTX3080TI; 32GB G.Skill Ripjaw DDR4 3600; 2X Samsung 1TB 970EVO; NZXT Kraken X63; Seasonic Prime PX-1000, LG 48" C1 Series OLED, Honeycomb Yoke & TQ, CH Rudder Pedals, Logitech G13 Gamepad
October 13, 200916 yr Author Ok, how about payware? Which one do you recommend? Actualy I just want one good model (A319 or A320 or A321), Wilco I think has the whole series. Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery
October 13, 200916 yr Try turning off the Flight Computer, which I believe are three switches in the upper right cockpit. The Airbus is a fly-by-wire aircraft, so if I am explaining this correctly the FBW joystick commands tell the aircraft how far to adjust pitch and roll past the value that is current at the instant you apply control. A non-FBW command tells the aircraft how far to adjust the control surfaces past the neutral center position. I've heard of turning off the flight control computer in an Airbus as "going Boeing". I've heard of turning off the flight control computer in an Airbus as "going Boeing".Thank's for the info. I'll try that. But for me that's not really a solution. I want to fly Airbus as Airbus. The main problem is that when I disconnect AP (and not even touching a joystick!) the nose pitches down fast, it's uncontrollable. I want the AC to stay on glideslope like every other AC or at least be controllable. Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery
October 13, 200916 yr Then stop flying it like a Boeing. Airbus does not require a/p disconnect as the a/p contains autoflare - and that is what you are experiencing when you disconnect at 200, the trim runaway that is the mark of the poor coding of this aircraft by ACES, whis is using trim to provide the pitch-up for flare, not elevator. I have no idea how to make it work properly, because I decided never to use the default Airbus after the first attempt. It's a horrible, terrible, dismal piece of coding by MS ACES. If you want to fly Airbus LIKE and Airbus, then aftermarket is your only hope.
October 13, 200916 yr I agree that MS seem to have at least attempted to model the controls as fly-by-wire in normal law. It could be a landing config problem which leaves trim too extreme when you cancel the AP (just guessing).scott s..
October 14, 200916 yr Author Someone gave me good advice.. go to Flightsim and download "a321_fix.zip" and "a321_v2.zip". This should help.a321_fix.zip readme..."The FSX Default A321 is probably the most unpopular plane is FSX--overpowered, weird flight dynamics and a number of small bugs. This 'patch' that should have been published by Microsoft in the first place, fixes most of the bugs. The A321 flies more realistically and includes updated sounds."At that time AVSIM library was not working. Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery
