October 12, 200916 yr I know this is going to sound silly to a lot of pro's on here but i have just bought Air Hauler and was doing some flights over the weekend but as I normally fly heavies with the GPs computer, I suddenly came unstuck when the game put me in a Cessana Caravan.for the life of me I could not fnd an onboard computer so Im guessing it does not have one. I spent half the flight jumping back to the ingame map screen which I think is not the right way to navigate. I could fly with visuals but as I had real weather it started to get quite cloudy. Can anyone give me a gentle push in the right direction for navigating with the smaller aircraft? Also, i guess the autopilot would work if programemd with a flight plan but IMO its not much of a game if the computer does 80% of the flying for you :)Thanks
October 12, 200916 yr Caravan has no computer, and unless linked to the GPS, the autopilot will not fly the flight plan itself. There are a number of ways you can navigate. The most basic way(and the most fun if you ask me) is to get a VFR chart (www.runwayfinder.com for the US) and fly by key landmarks. This is ofcourse if you can see the ground. Then theres VOR navigation, where you track radials of VORs in your area. (helps to have the VFR chart here). If you have a GPS installed in the plane, you can always fly direct, or have GPS waypoints that you follow.I don't have a good website for you with all the info, but I'm sure someone will post a link here shortly. October 12, 200916 yr Author Thank you for those replies, it does seem hard to work out stuff in flight sim sometimes but luckily there is always a really helpful community :)
