October 18, 200916 yr Hi all!I have a problem with the PMDG navigation display:Here is a screen:In this screen I am following the ILS, but the small triangle that indicates the aircraft isn't straight, and the aircraft doesn't follow the route.ANy ideas? I have reinstalled the aircraft yesterday, but today I have the same problem... Luca Casiraghi Italy.
October 18, 200916 yr This is very strange. Have you run the tutorial and studied the documentation? What ILS are you following? Can't see that the aircraft is receiving any ILS signal. If you want the aircraft to follow a route, you have to engage LNAV and the AP. Neither of these are activated. Judging from the picture you have flaps up and gear down. No flaps setting indicator showing on the PFD - have you set up the FMC with all performance parameters prior to take off?
October 18, 200916 yr Author What ILS are you following?I'm not following the ILS, but I took the ILS line as a reference to explain the problem. The triangle that indicates the plane is not moving forward, as it should be, but moves diagonally. This is the problem Luca Casiraghi Italy.
October 18, 200916 yr By the looks of your PFD the aircraft is taking it's cues from the MCP as you do not have LOC, APP, or LNAV engaged. LOC will tell the aircraft to laterally follow the localizer upon interception. APP tells the aircraft to follow the glideslope upon interception (happens after the LOC is captured). LNAV will tell the aircraft to follow the flightplan in the FMC laterally assuming that you are not to far off from it, in which case you have to do a direct-to to the next waypoint. I suggest reading the manual. There are also numerous video tutorials on youtube. I also just noticed the autopilot isn't even engaged. October 18, 200916 yr As mentioned we need a screen shot of the actual problem to be more helpful. Also make sure you have the flight director turned on. George Morris

October 18, 200916 yr As mentioned we need a screen shot of the actual problem to be more helpful. Also make sure you have the flight director turned on.I have had the same problem for some time. Doesn't happen every flight, only about 20% of the time - but there doesn't seem to be any reason why or why not.The aircraft appears (on the ND) to be flying diagonally when it clearly isn't (if you check the PFD or the map function in FS), and flies well off-course (the ND does not correspond to the actual heading/position of the aircraft - e.g. what the ND says is north is up to 30-40 degrees off). Once the problem starts (sometimes before and sometimes after takeoff) it makes no difference whether I have LNAV, HDG, or LOC engaged of if I fly manually. Any help would be much appreciated (I have tried reinstalling etc.)Thanks
October 18, 200916 yr If you register the product under the FAQ/Update section at Aerosoft.com there might be a patch available. They also provide forums for their scenery products. No sense trashing it.Here's a service pack update method from the forum:Hello Jorn,Thats exactly right. Both versions are now in the one download file.So if you registered Budapest 2007 you can get the update from there for both versions. If you registered Mega Airport Budapest for FSX you can get the update for both versions there too."there" being the FAQ/UPdate section available after registering your product. If that does not help then post on their support forum:http://www.forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?showforum=107 . Registration is just a non-product specific one here. I solved .
