October 20, 200916 yr Well with the new Propliner Collection from Aerosim this old question popped up in my head again... Which of the DeHavilland Dash-8's is the best? There are a few out there and none of them have great reviews but I've been itching to fly one for a while now because the ATR-42/72 just won't cut it anymore. So which Dash 8 do you use and what do you think of it?
October 20, 200916 yr Have you looked at the Majestic Dash-8? http://www.majesticsoftware.com/I do not have it, but I have heard that is one of the better aircraft currently available. Joe Sherrill
October 20, 200916 yr I use the Majestic one,I do own the PSS Dash 8 as well, but the Majestic offering is the very best currently available.I started flying it in October and since starting I haven't flown anything else.I love the sounds, the handling, and the way you can go to the smaller airports. There is also a good merge available for it that couples it to the Dreamwings -100 modelwhich opens up all the small Wideroe airports in Norway for it,and I can tell you,I'm having so much fun with it.Granted, the panel graphics aren't as nice as other planes, and the VC is rather dated, but the sounds and the systems functionality is awesome, and it does have the ability to update the navdata via Navigraph, which I am very happy with. All in all,it is My best purchase for FS,and I truly regret not buying it sooner.I'm a diehard fan, that's for sure, hope to see their -400 for FS9 too.cheersJP.
October 24, 200916 yr After a long week of working I have found time to get online and check. I checked out the PSS Dash and the Majestic Dash and I think the Majestic one might be the one for me although the price is a bit up there... Christmas present methinks. Thanks for the information and I am looking forwards to flying these aircraft when I can get them.
October 24, 200916 yr the majestic looks so awesome, I have been eyeing it for over a year, but the only thing that pushes me away is the price, I think that if they would lower the price a little there would probably be a lot of simmers taking the plunge. However it is not up to me to say lower the price as im sure the developpers invested the time and feel that it is worth the asking price. Maybe some day i will pony up the dough. October 24, 200916 yr you should pony up the dough,it is really good and I love it to death.but admittedly,it is pricey.then again,it's the best 50 euro's I've spent apart from the 30 I spent on AS6.5so there you have it.
October 24, 200916 yr My understanding is that the Majestic dash 8 is an extension of the freeware frolov/fanda Q300?scott s..

It is just that 50 euros is just way too much for me. Maybe i will start puting my pennies away one at a time and go from there.
