October 23, 200916 yr Hello,I have had this problem with the initial install and now with the SP1. The FMS will only power up after a clean install. After a second flight, the FMS will no longer power up. It does not seem to matter if I do a Cold and Dark start or if I do a "powered up" start from a default aircraft. The only way to power up the FMS again is to reinstall but that is only good for one flight.Any ideas here? Thanks in advance,Ron SagelNEAR KCHS

October 23, 200916 yr Author Well, using FMS in the Search function doesn't return any results. It doesn't even find THIS thread. I'll search ... :( MikeHello,I tried the search - the only thing I found was a reference to a FONT that could be missing. That is not the problem here.I can see the FMS and press the buttons. It worked the first time I loaded the addon but will never work again!I'm stumped here and need help from PMDG. All poweer related functions (BATT, GEN's ALTS, Avionics are active)All other instruments and "pop-ups" work fine . Just the FMS will not power up.Cheers,Ron Sagel

October 24, 200916 yr I have found on some add-ons that I have, I have to temporarily disable my anti-virus (Trend-Micro 2009) to get all of the guages and FMC to start, or you might try to load a default plane and use "select aircraft" after loading FSX.Scott VanDeusen Scott VanDeusen Intel DX58SO, i7-920 OC, 12GB Patriot Tri-Channel, GTX460 1GB DDR5 OC, Coolermaster V8 CPU cooler, WIN7 Pro 64 Bit, FSX ACCEL, Coolermaster CM690 Nvidia Ed. October 24, 200916 yr This happened to me after I went into the JS4100 Configuration Manager and made 2 changes in an attempt to increase the fps. I changed from "High Definition Displays" to "Normal Resolution Displays" and changed the "Right EHSI & EADI TO 50% thinking I don't watch that side anyway. Then when I loaded the JS4100 I started the engines as normal and then went to the FMS. Dead, won't turn on. So .... went back into the Configuration Manager and switched the Right and Left displays back to 100% and all was well. I left the check mark in the Normal Resolution Display box. Don't know if that made a difference in my fps ... but it wasn't worse. October 26, 200916 yr Hi every1OK I have managed to get past this bug. Before I was able to select my default flight (PA Airbus A319) and then select the JS41 startup and all ok power up FMS no probsNot sure what happened but at some point when I loaded up the JS41 I was unable to switch on the FMS... hmmmm :( I then saved my default flight with the C172 engines off then loaded the JS41 continued with normal startup and once switched to GEN voila FMS powers up!I hope this 'fix' works for the rest of you guys as it has been mentioned previously in other threads for various other anomalies?Happy flying!Russell Bailey Russ Bailey
