When you have a good view of the switch or knob you want, hit the F9 key to pause TrackIR.

Sorry, no other way, just the F9 key. Or whatever key/button you change pause to.

hi,It reminds me that there is another way.... :( There is a free utility that does that: JAB_FSX which you can download at flightsim. :( I had it on my computer but had forgotten about it :(

hi, the middle mouse click is a neat idea. The problem that I have is whatever enable key I program with track IR, it is still F9 which has control even though my new key selection appears in the track IR main panel. I don't understand. Any idea?

hi,yes it works (Track IR disabled in 2d view) but I found it handy to press the mouse button rather than the F9 key to toggle track IR in the VC. If it is not possible, I will live with it. :(

Gottcha..

You can also move in towards the console and the TIR will stop moving and then you can use the mouse.
