FSUIPC.INI FILE

Featured Replies

I've gotten lost and can't get up. Where do I find the fsuipc.ini file in FSX so I can change the text color?

Yeah, that's what I thought but I'm not seeing a file ending in .ini. I know my FSUIPC is working properly but I don't see the file.

Setup Windows Explorer to view all files - Tools -> Folder Options -> View tab -> Check "Show hidden files, folders, and drives."

It sounds like "Hide File Extension for known file types" is checked. In Tools-Folder Option-View deselect that option and .INI will be visible.

I found the dang thing. In the cfg file, not an .ini file. Fixed now :(
WhiteMessage=Yes is in FSUIPC.INI in the General section. That changes text from Red to White. The CFG you refer to can't be related to FSUIPC.

You probably have Windows set to hide filetypes for types it knows. INI and CFG files are probably simply listed without the full filename and with the description "Configuration Settings".Pete

No. FSUIPC does NOT read CFG files! You are being misled by Windows description I expect. To avoid being confused, it might be best to set Windows to NOT hide filenames from you.Pete

Quoting PD above: "No. FSUIPC does NOT read CFG files! You are being misled by Windows description I expect. To avoid being confused, it might be best to set Windows to NOT hide filenames from you." That's what the problem was alright. Setting things to show file extensions made all clear to me.Thanks guys.
