November 4, 200916 yr Works with my Win 7 64B just fine...Same as Vista....Have you had it working with another OS and it won,t work under Win 7??? If not,and you have not got it working at all yet, then Win 7 has nothing to do with it...Lou C172P N97674 PPL SEL Complex High Performance
November 7, 200916 yr Usually a problem with User account control (UAC) and unsigned drivers from what I have read.Try disabling UAC.IAN Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
November 9, 200916 yr Had the same problem last night on Windows 7 x64.I needed to follow the instructions here:http://www.blogsdna.com/2775/install-unsig...t-overrider.htmOnce installed, you enable test mode and click next.Once that's done you need to choose "Sign a System File" and choose tileproxy.sys from your windows\system32\drivers folder.Reboot your PCNote you need to be on beta 8 because on older releases I think tileproxy.sys is put in a different location oon x64.Only downside is that you get "Test Mode" in the bottom right hand corner of the screen - small price to pay though in my opinion.Noel :)
January 5, 201016 yr Is Noel's solution still the only way to run TileProxy on Win7 x64? Anyone else try this?I can't get TileProxy to run because Win7 won't install and use unsigned drivers. I don't want to screw up my system; just hope this is safe. I really enjoyed TileProxy before I upgraded to Win7 and want it back. Ken --- Jim ---
January 12, 201016 yr Hey, you could try my solution I posted in this thread. It worked fine for me and I'm using Windows 7 64bit, too. Maybe it's enough to turn off UAC.
January 12, 201016 yr Yes, I have previously seen this thread. I have disabled driver signing on boot, turned off UAC and I am running as Administrator but still couldn't get it working. It was working great for me on Vista x64. If you have it working with Win7 x64, maybe I should try it again. Thanks for your reply.Ken --- Jim ---
January 15, 201016 yr Dang well better work - I'm just about to install Win7 Pro/64But just to be 'safe', it will go on a new drive and I have no intention of letting it touch my current XPLoyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
January 17, 201016 yr You can't use bcedit to turn of required driver signing with 64 bit systems. Using Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider works fine. There is no need to turn UAC off (other than during use of Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider), just run proxyuser.exe as Administrator.Bronko
