Bug with pause at TD?

Featured Replies

Hi, first post.I just installed this a few days back, and tried it on an overnight flight from KSEA to EGLL. I usually fly these kinds of routes often with the PMDG 747, I go to bed during the cruise. Yes, unrealistic, but still. I use pause at TD just incase I sleep to long. With FS2Crew, the departure was great, it really adds to the experience. However I woke up and found my plane bouncing on the ground in Syria...So it didn't pause, although I checked several times and the option was set. Im trying to debug this. Im on the ground bouncing, the autopilot is on and the fuel is on 0.I had put in a TON of fuel for this flight, 70 000 pounds more just in case something would go wrong with FS2Crew.I'm just asking, can FS2Crew make something happen to my plane, like a failure or anything else that would cause this? The F/O pressed a random button just for fun..? :(Or maybe it's the route. I was so excited last night I didn't check through all the waypoints like usual.I'm just making sure. Because I really liked flying this way.. taking off late at night, going to bed and then having a better reason to get up than school, to land a 747. :( Maybe it's unrelated to FS2Crew, but anyway, what do you think? I read the manual and didn't find anything. It was supposed to pause, that's all.PhilippeEDIT 1: Appears that I should have set the descent stuff 40 nm from TD, however PMDG 747 can only pause AT TD. Anyway I can make it pause 60 or so miles from the TD?EDIT 2: Just found this: http://forums1.avsim.net/lofiversion/index.php/t250501.htmlAppears there is a bug with FS2Crew, and after loading the panel state, I must go to the menu, uncheck pause at TD, go back and recheck it. Odd, but it may work. Would be really good to have it pause before TD though.

Hi,There's no internal option in FS2Crew to pause at the top of decent as it wouldn't be required or necessary. Nothing happens in FS2Crew while you're in cruise that would put the aircraft off course. As to what happened to your flight while you were sleeping, who knows. Try doing it again, but on a much shorter flight, but stay awake so you can see what's happening.Cheers,

Hi, thanks.I flew the tutorial flight earlier, monitoring everything, and it did pause at the T/D since I went to the PMDG menu, unchecked pause at TD, went back and rechecked it.Works like a charm.

Also, I guess PMDG 747 doesn't set a T/D if no arrival runway and STAR is set.. I better get back to the manual ;)
