Thanks! The CTD problems aren't quite sorted, but using the 2 workarounds I found (don't use 2D popups + use time acelleration to avoid long real time sessions) has worked on every single flight so far! I'm pretty happy!

Hi, Another airline flight from me, but probably my last one for a while. I'm in the middle of moving so I won't have access to a flight sim computer for at least a week. Here are the shots! I do not have any scenery for LFPG, and I was parked at a gate too small for my aircraft... I know. I used to never use time acceleration, and only leave the computer alone in real time, overnight. I have been using acceleration a bit more these days, and there is at least one clear advantage; I get to see the sun rise (or set) during the cruise! I don't only have dark departure shots and/or dark arrivals shots. Pretty cool. Here is the full set. Warning: I really abused screenshots in this one. 113 shots for one flight... I think I've never taken that much before. Enjoy!! No video for this flight. I like it One of my favourite shots of the PMDG777 so far: Descent, at last It seems I am unable to fly an aircraft into San Francisco without taking a picture of it with the Golden Gate. Thank you Jim! Glad you enjoyed it. I am also a fan of the eye-candy... hopefully one day we can have machines powerful enough to run flight simulators in VR for even more immersion! Maybe I got lucky with the 2500k. I was never ever able to hit 4.8GHz though, I tried, but I always seemed to hit some kind of wall. Anyway, 4.7GHz is more than good enough for me! I've been running it at that frequency for about 3 years now... who knows, it might die on me eventually. Regards,

Hi, I own the Majestic Q400 PILOT version. I am interested in the PRO version because I really like the Q400 and I would love the HUD. I currently have a couple of problems using P3D v3.1, latest version and latest Q400 version... 1)When going into the Virtual Cockpit(VC) from any other view (that is not the VC), I have to double-tap "F9" or whatever key I use, because on the first attempt, all the P3D HDR settings are disabled so the colours look strange. Not really a big problem, but slightly annoying. 2)When inside the VC, it appears that only the cockpit and end of wings are modeled. Because I use P3D's ground shadows, when the sun is behind me, I only see a weird shadow of 2 wings and a cockpit, the fuselage has no shadow (once again, only when viewed from the VC). So, my questions are: -Are these 2 problems going to be fixed eventually? Does the PRO version have the same problems or does it fix them? -Will I be able to use a repaint I have (designed for the PILOT version) on the PRO? I had a ton of trouble finding it in the first place, I hope I can still use it. Thank you very much! Philippe

You may want to read this thread, I have had a similar problem to yours. If you only get the crash with the PMDG777, try not opening the 2D popup displays (PDF, EICAS, FMC, etc) at all during an entire flight and see if you still get the crash. I didn't have any corrupted files with sfc /scannow though, so maybe you don't have the same problem. Just an idea! edit: I think I recognize your username "GermanyGreece93" from the P3D forums, so might already know about the 2D popup problem. Sorry.

Thanks very much to both of you! And SKEWR, yes, when I saw the XWind I was worried a bit, hoping to make a smooth landing for the video... I hadn't landed the 777 much since quite a long time, but it did go pretty well! Thanks for the compliment. Good to know you're enjoying it, I thought it would be quite boring for most people.

I decided to make a slightly edited video of my latest flight! The video was recorded using ShadowPlay in 1080p60, even though the sim doesn't usually maintain 60 fps. I did not record my voice, so you will only see what I was saying to the FS2Crew FO in the top green "speech recognition bar", sadly. You will hear her voice though. I didn't use any FS recording/replay software, so it was all done "live". Sorry for the lack of external shots at take-off and landing, I needed to be in the cockpit... I took some screenshots as usual, here is a link to the screenshot thread here on AVSIM. I had a ton of fun making the video, I hope you enjoy it. Take a default aircraft, turn on unlimited fuel, and fly for 12+ hours. If it doesn't crash, then you might have the same problem as me, and like many others on the P3D official forums. I get a crash after 7-9 hours using PMDG, I tried over 10 times and I got the crash every time. First attempt with a default aircraft and I flew for 26 hours before just deciding to land.. without crashing. Many people are getting a CTD after hours of flight with PMDG products and P3D v3.... I don't think there's a work around yet. Some people get the crash, some don't.

The livery textures were made by "Visualize-HD" (click for Facebook page) but their website is permanently down. The owner had kindly sent me a link to download it from Google drive. Here it is. I didn't make it, all credit goes to "Visualize-HD"!!

They have 2 Q400's and 1 Dash8-300 and fly them pretty much every day of the week to move their employees around the different hydro dams/installations in northern Quebec. Here's one of their flight routes for example. If you've got some time to waste... I had fun flying all legs of that particular flight (HYD164) and the return (HYD165/161) in 2014, when I was still on FSX. I have the Majestic Q400 but I hadn't used it with P3D yet until today, only in FSX. I really do love the cockpit shadows! The beautiful clouds are from REX 4 Texture Direct + Soft clouds. Enjoy!! All taken on a short flight from Montreal to CYUY (Rouyn)

I've been using FSX for a long time, and when I started using P3D recently I also noticed this. It just seems that in clouds, all textures on the 777 become "more grey", but the engine fan blade disc stays the same color, which is probably why it looks a little weird. I guess it's by design.

I'm not at my sim computer right now, but just in case this info helps: I had a similar problem with P3D a few days ago, the WX.PLN wasn't being created by the sim. The fix was to go into the FMC, PDMG Setup, Aircraft, Equipment and set this: Now the WX.PLN gets created and ASN loads the flightplan automatically, like it used to. EDIT: The first line "Auto Preflight Uplinks" was disabled. For some reason, having it disabled was preventing the WX.PLN for being generated. Turning it on fixed it for me.
