My new computer and FS2004

Featured Replies

In about 2 weeks my new computer will be ready and I was wondering what you guys think about it and how it will run FS9 (I have FS9 on a external drive where it will stay when I get the new computer). The specs are...Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core ProcessorASUS P6X58D Premium LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard (Just came out Looks real good )Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer CaseOCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)6 Gb Ram ( I went with the 1366 socket because it should be upgradable to the next cpu's that come out i9 and better reviews over the 1156 socket )There are 6 (six) memory sockets on the 1366 as to 4 (four) on the 1156 EVGA 896-P3-1170-AR GeForce GTX 275 896MB 448-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card 750 Gb hard drive DVD Burner Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bitAntec TruePower New TP-750 750W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC "compatible with Core i7/Core i5" Power Supply

It will run FS9 at the highest settings you can imagine, with add-ons.

It should absolutely nail fs9 at the highest of settings, looks like a nice rig, hope you are very happy with it.

Thanks guys. :( I am looking foward to getting the new computer. I haven't flow FS9 in months becasue The piece of junk computer I have now can't handle it. I get a FPS on around 10-15 now and it sucks. I tried to fly to fly to FSDT's vegas scenery a few weeks ago and it actaually stopped for about 30-40 seconds while all the textures re-loaded!

joseph,I just went with a new PC that is somewhat close to your specs. Looking forward to dominating FS9 instead of being down to 15-20 fps at busy airports like KLAX or KORD.1 x Cooler Master - HAF 932 High Air Flow Full Tower Chassis1 x Thermalright - Ultra 120 eXtreme 1366 RT CPU Cooler Rev C w/ 120mm Fan1 x Asus - P6T X58 w/ TripleDDR3 2000, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, 1394, PCI-E, 3-way CrossFireX/ SLI1 x Patriot - Extreme Performance Viper Series DDR3 6GB (3 x 2GB) PC3-12800 Low Latency Triple Channel Kit1 x SEAGATE - 1.5TB Barracuda 7200.11 SATA II w/ 32MB Cache1 x Western Digital - VelociRaptor 300GB 10,000rpm SATA II w/ 16MB Cache1 x LG - Super Multi Security DVD Writer 22x DVD+/-RW Dual-Layer, Black (OEM)1 x Corsair - HX 850W Power Supply w/ 140mm Fan1 x Microsoft - Windows 7 Home Premium x64 (64-bit) DVD - OEM1 x Intel - Core
