January 22, 201016 yr Fair enough, but why does "The Developer" - Mathijs Kok - then make such an idiotic and bragging statement as he did, with his "Why I get +50 FPS and you dont"?!Or was it maybe ment to be something like this: Why I have a larger **** - or ***** than the rest of you ****** ?!I've known these types all my professional life, but I don't want their smart*** methods in my hobby too, period!Well, I don't know where you come from, or why you think FSX is "my hobby" only (do you own it?), or what you consider civilized. But where I come from, along with most other civilized people, there is a rule to civilized debate (which is what this whole thread is about...whether or not Kok's views are correct or not).In a civilized debate, you are allowed to attack a person's postion, point of view, or validity of the information they are presenting. You are NOT allowed to attack the person themselves."With all due respect to my distinguished collegue from the State of California, I think your PROPOSAL is full of sh*t!"That's the difference between being civilized or not. Your "asterisk" comments above cross that line. Which causes me to question your reference about being "professional" yourself.I'd prefer a more civilized approach from the members of the community in "my hobby", too. "Period", as you so eloquently put it.Respectfully submitted, of course.FalconAF Rick Ryan
January 22, 201016 yr Ouch! There's a sickness in Western society and it's called PC = Political Correctness, and I'm glad I moved away from that control system a long time ago, and now spend my time somewhere else where freedom of speech and thought is still allowed.OK, I admit the wording/phrases are not really appropriate, because simmers are sensitive people and very, very civilized and extremely loaded with PC attitudes!Sir Falcon AF:Mr. Kok is laughing all the way to the bank and driving his sportcars (the whole fleet) to the chateau in France, only because people are stupid enough to buy his overrated and overpriced products! That's okay if they really were good and you could use them with on an ordinary PC.Not so... They are loaded with stuff, filled with bugs, and the scenery is just not that good anymore... Look at the forum over there, or do a search:http://www.google.dk/search?hl=da&sour...mp;aq=f&oq=
January 23, 201016 yr To me he is the Pied Piper of the misinformed children of FSX. He is a farce, and a quack and a poor business man.Rick, actually made me think about my statements and he is right. I made my disagreements with the methods of Mathijs Kok personal and I was wrong for doing so.I apologize to Mathijs, for the comments posted above. They were offside, rude and needlessly personal.
