December 12, 200916 yr HELP!!For some reason when I run FSX I get all the engine and outside notices just fine, but all the ATC and pilot voices are gone! I check the SOUND settings and both Sounds and Voices are set to the same sound card.I then renamed FSX.CFG and ran FSX again, but got the same result.Where else can I look for the voices to see why they are quite? Thanks!
December 13, 200916 yr By chance do you use a headset for anything? If so, check your main (OS) audio settings. If that is in use those sounds will play through the headset. Best Regards,Robert Kerr 3D Modeler & Texture Artist
December 13, 200916 yr Which audio device is chosen in FSX settings, on-board or other sound card? How many sound channels (speakers) do you have? And are your sound settings set to more channels than you have speakers?Crewe "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"

You may have accidently deleted it or it became corrupt. The only program I know of that modifies this file is MyTraffixX but they make a backup first. Not sure if any of the other AI programs do that. And lastly, you did check the Sound settings and made sure there is a checkmark next to Voices. You may have to do a FSX repair if all else fails.Best regards,Jim
December 14, 200916 yr I figured it out, and the answer was rather simple.I had my speaders set to Stereo instead of 5.1 Surround. Once I switched to 5.1 Surround, the voices started coming out of the center speaker again.Sometimes the simple solutions are the hardest to find. Thanks!DacMan
