Altimeter select keys

Featured Replies

Is there a way to assign the up and down arrows on the keyboard to the Altimeter select function? I think it would be much easier to change the altimeter using the keyboard then the mouse. I haven't been able to see which key function is assigned to that task. Thanks,I have a registered copy of FSUIPC fro FSX also if that helps.Morph

Does anyone have any ideas? You can assign almost any function including AP functions to specific keyboard keys but I think the most useful would be the Altimeter select as well as the IAS and HDG selections as their are a pain to adjust using the mouse buttons or scroll function. However I don't see how that's possible? Anyone?ThanksMorph

If you are asking for any response, then mine would be use the default B to set baro. Please sign your full name in this forum.

Hi MorpheousTo assign key for the instrumentation on the JS41 you need to find the file PMDG_J41.ini, which is in your .../Microsoft Games/FSX/PMDG folder, open that file using notepad or similar and you can type in your own key combinations for the controls listed, here is what I have at the moment..[RefreshRates]EADI.0 =18EHSI.0 =18EADI.1 =18EHSI.1 =18[Engines]AllowFires =1[Panels]Gray=0[input]AP_SBY=Ctrl+Shift+1AP_VSI=Ctrl+7AP_IAS=Shift+iAP_ALTSEL=Ctrl+Shift+3CRS1_Dec=Shift+F1CRS1_Inc=Shift+F2CRS1_Sync=CRS2_Dec=CRS2_Inc=CRS2_Sync=AltBug_Dec=Ctrl+9AltBug_Inc=Ctrl+8HDG_Inc=Shift+F3HDG_Dec=Shift+F5HDG_Sync=EFIS1_FullMap=Ctrl+iEFIS1_TCAS=Ctrl+Shift+5EFIS1_GspdTtg=EFIS1_ET=Ctrl+Shift+NUM 3EFIS1_VL=EFIS1_LNAV=Ctrl+Shift+2EFIS2_FullMap=EFIS2_TCAS=EFIS2_GspdTtg=EFIS2_ET=EFIS2_VL=EFIS2_LNAV=SpoilerArm=Although if you have the registered version of FSUIPC the another forum member

Maybe you have an idea on how to use some of my Joystick-Buttons for those actions? Thx in advance.Joachim

With a registered version of FSUIPC you can link keyboard shortcuts to joystick buttons.

Hi You know I have never tried to add those particular keys, but I have just tried them in my Saitek Profile Editor and when the keys are pressed they return

I can't get any of the .LUA files to work on my registered copy of FSUIPC, I can't see them in the buttons + switches tab. Can you get it to work?Morpheous

HiFirst of all do you have the latest updated version of FSUIPC which at the moment is at V4.558, I only ask as the LUA files will only work with later FSUIPC versions, I cant exactly remember which version was the first to fully support it, but if you are in doubt you can always go to the FSUIPC forum and download the latest FSUIPC.dll from the

Hi Jim,Thanks for your efforts but I'm not getting any options in the pull down menu, the menu itself is greyed out even when I assign a joystick button to activate it. I see the .lua examples files in the modules folder when I search with windows explore but the files do not show up in FSUIPC. I am using the latest registered download so I don't get it.Morpheous

it works now, i see the difference is that your script had a [end code] at the end of it, maybe that was the difference but it works great now.Thank youMorpheous

HiHappy to hear that your now up and running, that can be one of the problems with copy and paste when used on code, if it does not select all of the text or the text has some unexpected formatting carried over with it, it may look correct but still not function either as expected or at all.Anyway I hope that you enjoy you new found command functions for the Jetstream, so take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson
