December 22, 200916 yr Hey guys I'm planning to use the freeware World Of Ai, and I'm concerned if It will drop my fps (to Slideshow). Since I have recently brought PMDG my fps have dropped from 50-100 to now 35-15. Andrew i7 3820 @ 3.6 / P9X79LE / 16GB RAM / GTX 660
December 22, 200916 yr I've got about 150 WOAI packages installed and I haven't noticed any impact on frame rates. The amount of traffic you see is controlled by the traffic display sliders anyway, so you should get the same sort of performance you got before. It's not going to impact like a complex airliner sim like PMDGs 747 or JS41 which really do bite into frame rates on my rig. That is not to say that there will not be some impact, but it should be minimal - depending on how high you have your traffic slider set and how many aircraft are active in any given area at any given time of course. If you are flying a highly detailed aircraft yourself, it will have more of an impact.I think you will enjoy the WOAI packages - I know I do. :(
December 23, 200916 yr Yeah... what Opa said. I don't notice any hit and they really add a lot, plus you can't beat the price. Lose not thine airspeed, lest the ground rise up and smite thee.

Since I have recently brought PMDG my fps have dropped from 50-100 to now 35-15.There is one thing to be aware of when using WOAI in FSX - the majority of their flightplans (Traffic files) are written in FS2004 format.FSX can read either FSX format traffic files or FS2004 format but not both at the same time. So unless the WOAI Traffic files (there will be one traffic file for each airline package you install) are converted to FSX format, your default FSX traffic will not display. This is NOT a huge problem as there are several free converters available. I use the one which is built into the excellent program by Don Grovestein called AI Flight Planner. The conversion utility, which is very easy to use, is under the File menu. You can get the latest version here: http://members.shaw.ca/aifp/Hope you find this info useful.
