The Ultimate Terrain lights, whether day or night, will severly reduce normal autogen. One fix is to turn lights off in the Ultimate Terrain configuration tool if you fly during the day, and to turn the lights on if you fly at night (as building autogen is less important for a sense of immersion at night).

Yep I know I can turn OFF all of the UT stuff, but...is there anyway to increase the autogen more then that? I think its very sparse even when its at the highest setting in FS.
Not with a .cfg file tweak.Go to this page and download the autogen SDK - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555857This will answer all your questions in detail.regards,Joe
Hey man thanks for the ehlp. I downloaded it but I hvae no idea about this kinda stuff. Like I want to make the entire world full of more autogen, is that possible?? Thanks buddy.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are looking for a simple .cfg file edit to do this in FS9, the answer is no.If you want to edit the existing autogen files, then study up on the SDK and go to it.There are limits to how much autogen FS9 will display.
For performance reasons, the scenery engine in Flight Simulator limits the number of buildings displayed to 300 per square kilometer and the pieces of vegetation displayed to 600 per square kilometer.
So you would not be able to exceed that.BTW, there are 391 default autogen files in FS9\Scenery\World\texture, so it may take a while. Not to mention the autogen in FS9\Scenery\Cities\xxx\textureAs you can see this would be a huge undertaking, probably easier to upgrade to FSX.regards,Joe

o ######, ok thanks buddy.

realatp,Don't know what your PC specs are, and I can't remember what my auto gen (around airports) used to look like, but you can try 'Silver Wings' freeware files (by Bill Lyons). I installed a couple of years back and now won't go back to 'default' look. Area around airports (all over world) get some added trees, roads, and houses. Don't know if they work alongside other add ons, but it's worth a shot. Here is pic of airports autogen, and in topdown view the light green area is the 'Silver Wings' enhanced area.Chuck BNapamule
