December 29, 200916 yr Iv been searching all over the forum to see if anyone else has tried to merge virtual cockpits. I have found a couple applicable to the 737 but I have some questions.Given that the 737 PIC planes are 300, 400 & 500 series and the default fsx model is an 800 can the vc from the default fsx model be used to replace the pic version. I don't want to replace old dials for new dials I just want to improve the image quality of the panel and cockpit as the pic version isn't too good.My thinking is this. The background behind the dials/gauges is blank and dials are positoned on top of the background. Therefore if they are removed they won't leave a hole. If this is the case I can remove the 800 series dials and replace them with the pic dials. This would then improve the look of the pic cockpits but keeping the original dials. Can this be done? Is it simply a case of copying the texture files from one folder to another or do I need to edit .Cfg files? So in summary I want to use the default vc of the 737 to improve the image quality of the 737 PIC vc but retaining the PIC gauges.I hope that makes some sort of sense. Please ask questions to clarify what I'm after.Tom Tom Why not read some useful tips and tricks - http://forum.avsim.n...22#entry1965722

Im now thinking along the lines of using a photo editor to improve the texture files associated with the PIC model, to try to improve the image quality. I think the model is great its just a shame the virtual cockpit looks very blocky.ThanksTom Tom Why not read some useful tips and tricks - http://forum.avsim.n...22#entry1965722
