Then click on "About".That will display the version number and info regarding any service packs which have been installed.I have the DeLuxe Edition also and mine did not come with any SP installed.Hope that helps.

December 31, 200916 yr I think the next questionis which service packs to install.I think SP1 is a must as it contains performance enhancements. SP2, I've avoided so far as I've heard it can cause a few problems and I'm not sure it contains anything I really need.Correct me if I'm wrong though.IAN Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
December 31, 200916 yr SP2 (also contained in the Acceleration expansion) is a must-have because many third-party developers require it for their addons to function properly.SP2 also drastically improves performance as well as give you the DX10 preview option that also increases many users performance, too.On the very rare occasion, you might have an older addon that might not function under SP2, but if it is a third-party payware addon, chances are there will be a patch, or a whole new version developed specifically for SP2 / DX10 compatibility.
December 31, 200916 yr I have 1 and 2 installed and have experienced no issues so far.I do not plan on purchasing Acceleration as I really do use FSX that much - still in love with FS2004. :(
January 2, 201016 yr But I use Tileproxy and I thought thre was an issue with running Tileproxy under SP2.I'm not interested inthe DX10 preview but wasn't aware of any performance enhancements in SP2. If there are any significant improvements, I might be tempted to install.IAN Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
January 2, 201016 yr With Windows XP (don't know Win's 7 yet) I find all my updates, patches and SP info in Control Panel's 'Add & Remove Programs'. Up top click on 'Show Updates' to see in list of installed programs, and updates, along with size, and date installed.Chuck BNapamule

MS did a great disservice by leaving SP1 up after SP2 came out. You cannot begin to realize the headaches some of us deal with on support as a result of this.Jim
January 3, 201016 yr I think SP2 is a must. I wouldn't fly FSX without it. It indeed gives you performance enhancements and it will let you use all (new) addons.
