5040x1050 res. causing stuttering

Recommended Posts

Got three wide screen monitors, got resolution set at 5040x1050, running Win 7 64 bit. Using the TH2Go config editor called SGU to optimize cfg for proper in game resolution makes the game stutter. Or more like just the plane, outside world seems to run smooth, but entering a bank the plane

I have had a similar experience with TH2G. It took some testing but I finally settled on a res of 3870x1024 or 3870x800 depending on what/where I'm flying. I know it sounds horrible but it really doesn't look so bad and the stutters have disappeared plus my FPS shot up quite a bit!

Consider the resolution:4080 x 768 = 3 133 440 pixels5040 x 1050 = 5 292 000 pixelsAbout 70% more pixels to render and fill.Best regards.Luis

That's certainly part of the issue, Luis. A couple of things come to mind, Crew; the first is to go into Win 7 and convert it to Performance Mode. Secondly - make the display settings 5040 x 1050 x 16, instead of 32, and then do the same in the sim. You will probably not even see the difference, but you'll pick up a few frames. Thirdly - download GameBooster - http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html, so you get a bit more breathing room. And fourthly - you've already noted - that e6800 can easily push 3.6gig - maybe even 4 - with not too much effort. Fifth - set nHancer as per Nick's guide - not the stock install. Also if you run unlimited frames - then try a setting of 22 or 23 - and see what happens. That will scarcely judder, at 3.33. My old e6600 was at 3.2 and was quite smooth, but unable to take heavy cloud, airline and road traffic simultaneously.
