January 18, 201016 yr Hello Everyone,I hope this is not a stupid question. After 17 years of flight simming with a standard 4:3 monitor I have finally decided to move to a 24" widescreen LCD. Since they have an aspect ratio of 16:9 will this monitor running at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 give me oval gauges and distorted outside views with FS9 and FSX?Regards,Shally.

January 18, 201016 yr Did you mean 1920 x 1200?I'm sure he meant 1080, as I also have a 24inch thats 1920x1080...those are becoming more popular due watching movies on monitors and they are a good amount cheaper then the 16:10 monitors. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |
January 18, 201016 yr I have a DELL 2407 and Run FSX in 1920 x 1200 x 32 and it is not distorted at all. It looks very impressive In my opinion. If you do get a 24" you will not be dissapointed. Also make sure to make this edit in your config file.[Display]WideViewAspect=TrueIt optomises the screen for a wide screen monitor.
