Is it possible to use AS6.5 for both platforms? If so, can someone please provide some insight into how to set it up?I currently use AS6.5 for FS9 and ASA for FSX, but after a number of weather shifts and temp changes that have resulted in crashes, I'd like to try AS6.5 in FSX as well. Thanks!

Hi,Just make sure that ASv6.5 is B552 and that you install FSUIPC4 into FSX. One install of AS will work with both. Remember that ASG and the weather RADAR will not work in FSX.

Great to know this. Did you get it installed? Jim, what is the path for install into Windows 7 64, and do we just delete the graphics part or does it give the options not to during install? Been so long I do not remember. Been workinggreat on FS9 for years!

I'm running this on Win7 64, and it works great. Only thing I had to do was uncheck the double overcast layer in AS6.5 when using FSX. It's a killer!

I disabled that and both fog and did not see any difference except a huge fps bump up.Seems to have a problem updating though, I will get the error later.Where is it actually installed on W7 64, I can't find it?

Hi All,In Win 7 nothing FS related should be installed into the Program Files folder so use something like C:\Active Sky 6No, ASG will still install but just will not work with FSX.

I did create as you suggested Jim. Problem, I have extreme fog/haze at ground level all the way up to 360. I have the fog and overcast unchecked. I also restarted FS and cleared wx through FS & FSUIPC, no help, any ideas?

NWA,Yes, that is not correct.What textures are you using?Try the Favor Cumulus vs Stratus On.Honestly, I have never seen anything like that in FSX before no matter what is being used.If you use FSX weather does the same thing happen?

Default cloud textures.Have tried Cumulus, same.FSX default wx fine, but not updating, but that is a known. I think I may have found the problem, I will let you know. :( :( Will have to take a trip around the patch later.

I can report that I'm also having the same issue in FSX with AS6.5 as NWAWest is having.
